A busy day at the Food Bank. Today, we were able to help twelve families plus one emergency, nine couples and thirteen individuals plus one emergency. This was a total of 44 adults and 37 children.
Many thanks to the local retailers, local churches and individual donors who help to keep us going. We welcome donations of food as long as they have at least six months’ shelf-life (the use-by or best-before date shown on every tin and packet). It is surprising how much food is donated to us which is well out of date and cannot be used.
Right now, we would be particularly pleased to receive donations of: tinned meat, tinned vegetables, tinned fruit, instant coffee, long-life milk, bottles of squash, and individually-wrapped soap.
Thank you.
