On Monday 3rd August, Bridgnorth Food Bank seemed as busy as ever – we were able to help twelve families, six couples, fifteen individuals plus two emergencies. This made a total of 40 adults and 38 children.
We were greatly helped by donations of perishable food from local retailers plus donations from local churches and individuals: thank you all, it was much appreciated by our clients.
The work goes on: our volunteers tell us that we are almost out of stock of bags-for-life and strong carrier bags, so any that can be returned by clients, or any that can be donated will be immediately put to good use.
Meanwhile, we would appreciate donations in particular of the following: tinned meat and fish, breakfast cereals, shower gel, hair shampoo, deodorant, tinned vegetables, long-life milk, cook-in sauces, bottles of fruit squash, pet food (for cats and dogs).
