It was another busy day at Bridgnorth Food Bank. We were able to provide food parcels to twelve families, eight couples plus one emergency, sixteen individuals plus three emergencies. In all, this made a total of 48 adults and 34 children we helped.
Another big thank-you to all the local churches, retailers and individuals for all their kind and most-useful donations. We were assisted this week by two volunteers from the local branch of Dudley Building Society.
If you wish to donate, you can leave items of grocery at some local supermarkets (such as the Co-op and Sainsbury’s) or at the local churches. We would particularly welcome donations of tinned meat and fish (including meat pies), tinned fruit and vegetables, long-life milk and tinned milk puddings (such as rice pudding and custard), breakfast cereals, soap, shampoo, instant coffee, biscuits and pet food (for cats and dogs). It is astonishing just how much grocery we get through, so every item donated is put to good use!
We are always glad of donations of bags-for-life and ordinary strong carrier bags, and we note with thanks the many bags that were returned to us by clients this week.
Thank you!
