Bank Holiday Monday 25th August

We were unusually quiet at Bridgnorth Food Bank, though we were mindful that a number of our clients were unable to get to town due to the severely reduced/non-existent bus service that happens on bank holidays.

Today we looked after six families, three couples and ten individuals, which was a total of 23 adults and 14 young people.

We were once again blessed with generous donations of bread, pastries, fruit and vegetables from several kind local retailers. Their support is much appreciated. However, we would be very grateful for donations of long-life and tinned food that has at least six months’ shelf life. In particular, we need tinned meat, tinned tomatoes, squash, instant coffee, biscuits, tinned fruit, and rice (both brown and white, dried and microwaveable).

As always, we are running short of bags-for-life and ordinary strong carrier bags.
