Monday 17th August

It was another busy day at Bridgnorth Food Bank. We were able to support fourteen families, five couples and thirteen individuals. This made a total of 38 adults and 38 children.

Many thanks to local supermarkets for having their collecting baskets so that customers can make donations to Bridgnorth Food Bank. Thanks, also, to local retailers for giving us perishable produce.

That said, we get through an awful lot of grocery items, so we would be grateful to receive more donations, in particular of tinned meat and fish, breakfast cereals, tinned vegetables, tinned soup, fruit squash and cartons of long-life milk.

We had a lot of bags-for-life donated yesterday, though they soon got used up. So if you can spare us any bags-for-life or ordinary strong carrier bags, these will quickly be put to good use.

Thank you.
