Hot work at the Food Bank!

On Monday 22nd June we were all melting under the extreme heat. At Bridgnorth Food Bank, we were very busy nonetheless! We were able to provide food parcels to nine families plus one emergency, nine couples plus one emergency, and nine individuals plus one emergency. This made a total of 40 adults and 34 children.

Many thanks to the local churches, retailers and individuals for their very generous donations. However, we have taken stock of where are in short supply. We would therefore particularly welcome donations of: tinned meat, tinned soup, cook-in sauces, breakfast cereals, long-life milk, biscuits and pet food (for cats and dogs). We do not need donations of pasta for the time being, thank you, as we have plenty in stock.

We are in particular need of bags-for-life as well as ordinary strong carrier bags.

Perhaps next week it will be a little cooler?
