Bridgnorth Food Bank’s Liz Bird was presented with Bridgnorth Town Council’s Civic Merit Award at the town council’s mayor-making ceremony on Tuesday 20 May 2025. The citation states that it acknowledges her achievements and the service spirit she has shown in co-creating, developing and managing the Bridgnorth Food Bank since its conception in 2013.
The citation adds: “Her dedication and compassion are commendable. The award also expresses Bridgnorth Town Council’s gratitude for her commitment to recognising a need and making a difference in the lives of so many members of the community. Congratulations Liz!”
