Such a generous gesture from The Italian Auto Moto Club at their annual event on Sunday September the 11th on Bridgnorth High Street. All entrants were asked to bring along an item of food, and at the end of the afternoon, BBC’s Stig formally presented all the donations received to Liz Bird, Bridgnorth Food Bank’s manager.
The Club’s David Morris confirmed a sensational line up of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Abarths, FIATs Alfa Romeos and Lancias. On the motorcycle side of the Italian world, there were plenty of Ducatis, a few Moto Morinis and some Aprilias, MV Agustas and Moto Guzzis. There was also a colourful convoy of Lambrettas and Vespas, from local scooter enthusiasts, arriving into the town which turned out to be one of the main highlights of the day.
The Stig proved to be a popular crowd-pleaser and certainly put a smile on Liz’s face when he showed her the huge pile of food donations for the Food Bank.
It was a fantastic day and we can’t thank the Italian Auto Moto Club and all those who donated food enough.
