Sainsbury’s Supermarket Bridgnorth donated a massive £4,892.51 from their charity Sainsbury’s in the Community.
Sainsbury’s have always been a big supporter of the Bridgnorth Foodbank helping us to achieve our mission of never seeing anyone unnecessarily go hungry in our constituency.
The staff at Bridgnorth Sainsbury’s have always been very helpful and accommodating to our needs, including allowing a trolley in the store for people to make donations.
With this money we were able to rent more storage space for food.
In addition we have been able to part fund a Citizen’s Advice Bureau at the Bridgnorth Library, which is a tremendous help to many of our clients.
All of the local supermarket are indeed ‘super’ in the way they support the work we are doing. Big business is often maligned, but in reality where would be without many of them?
